Bolte Civil was founded on the NSW Central Coast and commenced operations in 1992 by Neil Bolte. In 2011, after managing the company’s operations for 5 years as General Manager, Gavin Kimpton became the Managing Director and co-owner of Bolte Civil.

In 2022, as part of the company’s succession planning, Keith Smith, former Bolte Civil Construction Manager, took over the role of Managing Director and became a co-owner. Gavin remains with Bolte Civil in a Senior Executive and advisor role.

Since its inception, Bolte Civil has grown from a small civil engineering firm into one of the largest and most reputable Civil Engineering Contracting Companies based on the Central Coast. Bolte Civil has an annual turnover in excess of $40 million, employs a dedicated staff of over 60 personnel, and owns an expansive fleet of major earthmoving plant and equipment.

Over the last 30 years of operation, Bolte Civil has developed and expanded its operations into undertaking civil and infrastructure projects in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, NSW Central West (Dubbo), and North Coast (Taree) Regions.

Bolte Civil has a head office based in Tuggerah Business Park and has a highly skilled team that covers all facets of civil engineering and construction management, ranging from Project Managers, Estimators, Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Site Supervisors, Construction Plant Operators, and Construction workers.

Bolte Civil also owns and operates a specialised fleet of earthmoving plant including specialised civil equipment such as Kerbing Extrusion Machines, Straw mulching trucks, and is equipped with spear point-sump dewatering equipment and the latest GPS and laser surveying technology to complement its construction service prowess.
